Advantages of Backlit Fabric Graphics
1

Backlit fabric graphics have great color saturation. This current method of creating and displaying backlit graphics has many advantages. The fabric is an overall lighter solution, and more manageable product. It has a higher tolerance for travel damage. It allows for efficient change outs of the graphics in the assembled box. It has versatility because the graphic looks good, whether backlit or not. It can include green material options.

2

The cost advantages of backlit fabric graphics: Savings on shipping and product durability. Large format fabric graphics fold into manageable proportions and it has better endurance to the handling and abuse of trade show travel, giving it a longer shelf life. The light weight aluminum framing with no backing allow for a lighter package. The light box can be broken down into lengths only, and become an incredibly efficient package. The durability of the components of this display product allow peace of mind when it comes to shipping off your graphics.

3

THE DYES: Are embedded into the fibers of the fabric by a process called dye sublimation fabric printing. The water-based inks get heated up, become a gas, and when cooled, the ink is entrapped in the very fibers of the fabric. When the fibers are heated up near melting point; its condition makes the fabric receptive to the gassed inks. When cooled, the fibers close down, and entrap the inks; giving it a permanent bond! The end product is a sharp, large image on fabric which is both easy to fold and wash. Imagine being able to fold an enormous size graphic image into a small, tidy package for travel! Gone are the days of the large cumbersome image on a rigid substrate and no more dog earring nor scratching of any protective sheets of acrylic.

4

THE FABRIC: Typically the kind of fabric used in dye sublimation transfer printing is polyester fabric. It should be noted that polyester fabric can be made available with percentages of recycled content, such as recycled plastic bottles. Ask your PSP about this opportunity. The material is washable and it folds. You should receive many years out of a single fabric graphic!

5

SIZE: No longer are confined to the former limited industry standards. The fabric image and paired light box are custom created to your specifications. The only limit is the capacity of enlargement from the supplied digital image file. Widths of the fabric for printing typically run up to eight to ten feet. The length of the fluorescent bulbs no longer dictates the final size of the lightbox, as the new LED lighting is hung with flexible wiring around the perimeter of the rectangle.

6

THE LIGHT BOX: The biggest advantage is that any size is cut to length, no longer confined to standard size; the sky is almost the limit. Convention is broken, and now the size of your graphic will totally dictate the size of the box. No longer shipped as a large framed rectangular box with a rigid metal backing. The backing is now a piece of white fabric. This light box, broken down into lengths, can be shipped in a single tube container. It should be noted, there is a time investment for assembling these light boxes, as in trade show set ups.

7

There is no longer a need for a protective outer layer of acrylic. With no back and no front sheet, imagine how this lowers the costs of the handling and shipping. Manufacturers are now providing adjustable height shipping cases that support the varying lengths of the frames. These cases are small and lightweight, which you can either strap on and go or ship common small package carrier.

8

THE FRAME: Many PSP offer light boxes made of recycled or recyclable aluminum, making this a greener solution as well. As mentioned earlier, the lengths of the frame is determined by you, the space, and the range of your digital file. Each length breaks down and is shipped in a single tube container.

9

LIGHTS: For backlit fabric, you'll be using the energy efficient LED lighting. This supplies an even illumination on the fabric image and its diffusion sheet. The lights are mounted inside the box on a recessed track made for the lights. Not only is this lightsource more energy efficient due to its long lasting properties; realize you no longer have to deal with the negatives of shipping fluorescent tubes. LED lighting is lighter, durable, and more manageable, as they can be rolled up in tiny cardboard boxes. LED's were originally available in the cool, blue spectrum, but now the manufacturers have adapted them to a more neutral white light. You can even ask for LED's in a custom warm color temperature when you have lots of reds and oranges in your image. LEDs are safer, greener, and the trade show industry is definitely headed in this direction.

Backlit Fabric - What It Backlit Film Made of?

When displaying a graphic of any kind, whether it is textual or picture-based, companies or individuals strive for the best representation of their signage or display. Backlit film is a material upon which graphics or text can be imprinted so that when light shines through from behind, the design lights up.

Backlit film is a material upon which graphics or text can be imprinted so that when light shines through from behind, the design lights up. This is an incredible choice for windows or backlit lightboxes as a simple poster may not be the best choice for every scenario and every advertisement on display. It can adhere to acrylic surfaces as well as glass and other surfaces easily. Customers can make the choice for themselves which side of the decal is adhesive, meaning that they can adhere to the outside face of a lightbox or the inside face of a window. This can be helpful in limiting wear and tear from outside surfaces.

Many customers assume that the process is expensive and tedious for converting a design into signage that is able to function on windows or light boxes and that allows it to be seen at night as well as during the day. What they don't know is that backlit film can be an incredibly cost-effective strategy for advertisement and an aesthetically pleasing design element for decorative signage.

Restaurants utilize our product to display menu options outside or inside the building, bus stops display map features on a backlit film placed on a light source, and even museums find use in the properties of backlit signage. Many exhibits display textual explanations of the artist or historical context, and in our constantly developing modern world, they often turn to backlit signage in order to clearly express the information.

For clients with acrylic or glass surfaces in the home or office that are able to be lit from behind at night, or clearly displayed during the day, we highly recommend exploring the options offered by backlit film. Window clings have been popular for ages due to their functionality as a reflective surface during the day and a backlit sign at night - see static window clings, too. This is exactly the reason our signage has been highly requested for clients hoping for more coverage for their signage. As a cost-effective signage choice that is visible regardless of outdoor lighting, many enjoy its easy application and affordable pricing.

What Is It Made of?
The way in which backlit film is constructed is not an entirely complicated process, but the innovation of this product has revolutionized both indoor and outdoor signage over the years. Its semi-translucency is an incredibly unique quality that allows for the materials to catch and distribute any light that appears behind the film, no matter how faint or distant.

The film printed at allows for designs to be printed in high resolution so that textual or more picture-driven designs are able to appear crisp and clear to all possible viewers regardless of distance. The vibrancy of colors is also a detail to note when choosing from backlit signage options.

Ink is an important factor to consider, Our backlit film materials all come from the best sources in the industry, regardless of price. We then offer these synthesized materials to our clientele in the form of cheap backlit film options that are of high quality. We don't believe in cutting corners or compromising on quality. What Are Some Backlit Fabric Printing Options?

In the simplest terms possible, backlit graphics printing is the printing of any graphics that can be lit from behind. When it comes time to produce backlit displays, there are multiple backlit fabric printing options:

Backlit paper is designed for short-term backlit displays such as bus shelters and mall displays.

Litho-Printable Polyester/Mylar creates durable backlit through the use of UV-curable ink. The most popular backlit fabric printing options for this technique include theater backdrops, roll-up displays and snap frames that are changed out quickly.

Backlit banner material is not regular scrim material. A weave is produced that is almost invisible when backlit and is ideal for banners that need to be large with no seams. Examples of this backlit graphics printing include music concert backdrops and backlit banners in airports.

Fabrics for backlit displays are easy to install because they are lightweight. In addition, eye-catching colors can be added using a dye-sub process in this backlit fabric printing option.

Adhesive-backed vinyl backlit film is clear and translucent calendered films that have either a permanent or removable adhesive.
