EFI expands the range of Regiani printers

Debuting for the first time at Fespa's Hall 5 Booth 1-G71, Terra Silver uses unique Terra pigment inks for high-quality, highly sustainable direct-to-textile printing without the need for steam or washing.

This 1.8-meter-wide machine is part of EFI's full Terra series of pigment ink printers. 8 dual-channel print heads with a printing area of 190 square meters per hour.

Features include a new circulating ink system with excellent reliability and minimal maintenance, multiple printing modes to ensure maximum flexibility in design capabilities, and new real-time image processing that eliminates the cost of image pre-calculation time.

EFI said that this machine can print on knitted fabrics and woven fabrics smoothly and accurately, and the printed textiles undergo a more efficient polymerization process through the printer's on-board dryer.

It is said that the EFI Reggiani Terra pigment ink used on Terra silver provides "excellent wet and dry fastness and remarkable sharpness in details." Environmentally friendly water-based inks have higher printing durability, longer print head life and lower maintenance costs.

Adele Genoni, vice president and general manager of EFI Reggiani, said at Fespa: "This is a solution that allows customers to contact industrial textiles and take the first step in this industry.
