Water-resistant is the lowest level of water protection in water-resistant, water-repellent and water-proof. If a fabric is labeled as water-resistant, it means that the fabric's structure makes it more difficult for water or rains to get inside of it, or possibly that it is coated with a very light substance that helps improve the fabric's chances of surviving an encounter with water. Water-resistant feature is great for fabrics because it help fabrics withstand light rain or washing your hands.
